Luz Azul 8801: the first design that launched UltraLights back in 1988 when Copper and Verdigris Copper were the hottest finishes around. Our Lighting Designer and Co-Founder, Jim Restin, experimented with metal patinations to come up with a true Verdigris Copper—the turquoise pigmentation of naturally weathered copper obtained through the process of a hand patina. The sconce was designed to be decorative and architectural—high performing for placement on building facades paired with modern design providing that glimmer of outward light from the decorative slits on the metal face. 30+ years later, this sconce has stood the test of time as one of our top 20 best sellers; a truly transitional decorative wall sconce made to order for indoor and outdoor application.
